I’m a mother and wife, and I work in an academic library. If I’m not at home, I’m at work.  Each keeps me very busy for different reasons, along with various hobbies, obligations and interests.

On the home front, I’m mother to two children (brother and sister) and have been with my husband (the father) for well over ten years.  We’ve been homeowners for less than 5 years (living in apartments previously) and I’ve often felt this has kept us off the conventional path of family life.

At work, on the most generic level, I’m a library assistant. As an English graduate and avid reader, I’ve always felt lucky ending up in an academic library.  I can even walk to work!  As I write this, I’m overcome by how good this situation seems.
